Looking for a delicious treat to bring to the annual holiday potluck? Look no further. This fun and tasty cockroach-themed pecan pie recipe will blow your friends' socks off! At least!

My pie's filling recipe is based on the Food Network's Pecan Pie Recipe—no need to reinvent the wheel. In addition to the filling recipe, make sure you save 20 halved pecans per pie—I'll explain this later! Also, forget about making your own pie crust—it's a GD waste of time—just buy a premade frozen 9" one and claim that you made it.

Cockroach slime filling

After you make the filling, just look at it! It looks like a bunch of slimy cockroaches! Alas, it's simply a shitload of chopped pecans, butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup. Pour the filling into the premade frozen pie crust.

Now for the fun part: the cockroach design! Take 12 pecan halves and place them on the filling to form the roach head and body. Then cut the remaining eight halves in half again, lengthwise, to make thin pieces—use these to build the antennae and legs. It should look something like this:

Now place the pie on a cookie sheet, then bake it at 400°F for 43 minutes on the bottom oven rack. After you take it out, let it rest for several minutes before serving... otherwise it might get exhausted from  entertaining your friends for hours on end!!!
